The Director and Communications Staff will respond with loyalty and dedicated professional commitment to all members of the Police Departments, Fire Departments, Ambulance Services and the persons of this County.  We do this by continually striving to provide efficient and effective service to those who request assistance in their time of need, by utilizing the techniques and guidelines established as requirements of this department.   

   We recognize standard requirements of the Public Safety Telecommunicator and are therefore committed to exceed those minimum standards by performing within BuEComm's established policy guidelines, which ensure the safety of all responders and the citizens of our community.  While the Telecommunicator’s role to meet required certifications are defined by BuEComm’s Employee Handbook and SOPs, the  training which is conducted to meet these guidelines is no substitute for agency specific “on the job” training.  This training is defined, demonstrated, monitored and evaluated daily by experienced personnel.    

    We are committed to provide thorough, proactive, ongoing training to keep abreast of the changing technology and demands of each agency and the community we serve.  It is for this reason, as well as, our own personal sense of accomplishment and fulfillment that we strive to work as a decisive, informative, empathizing and successful team to ensure that the best possible service is available and utilized for those who rely on us as their lifelines.
